Meredith is an associate in Ross & McBride’s Business Law Group. Her practice focuses on all aspects of business affairs and corporate proceedings as well as municipal and land use planning matters.
Meredith obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ottawa in 2010 and a Juris Doctor law degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2015. While completing her law degree, Meredith won awards for her negotiation skills and for demonstrating strong community engagement by helping fellow students. She also completed a Clinical Mediation Internship, obtaining a Certificate in Mediation.
The business law aspect of Meredith’s practice entails all aspects of corporate and commercial law, including business start-up and incorporations, reorganizations, transactions of purchase and sale, and the drafting of commercial agreements such as service contracts, leases and shareholder agreements.
In Meredith’s municipal law practice, she advises municipal clients on a broad array of topics, including land use planning, roads, child care services, social housing services and commercial arrangements. She also assists municipal clients with the drafting and review of contracts, policies and by-laws. Meredith has a particular interest in land use planning matters and assists with proceedings before the Ontario Municipal Board and the Superior Court of Justice.
An avid hiker and outdoorsperson, Meredith gives back to her beloved Hamilton community by sitting on the Board of Directors for the Iroquoia Bruce Trail Club and maintaining a section of trail just outside the city. She is always on the lookout for great concerts and opportunities to use her French!
