Bob Munroe completes his term as President of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association

On May 28th, 2005, at the Fall Conference of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) in Toronto, Bob Munroe completed his term as President of that organization. OTLA is an association of Trial Lawyers whose practice is dedicated to the pursuit, protection and vindication of the rights of injured people. OTLA has a membership of over 800 lawyers in Ontario and other Canadian provinces.
During his tenure Bob used his considerable skill and expertise in government relations to advocate with Ministers of the Crown, senior civil servants and Members of Provincial Parliament for improvements in insurance legislation; changes in Rules of Civil Procedure and amendments to the Courts of Justice Act which will benefit victims of auto crashes and other forms of negligence throughout Ontario. Additionally, during Bob’s tenure as President, he continued OTLA’s tradition of providing its members top notch continuing legal education programs which included five major conferences.
Bob’s year as President of OTLA was a smashing success thanks to his tireless efforts in conjunction with the exemplary work of the Directors and Staff of OTLA as well as the inexhaustable capacity of its members to contribute their time, knowledge and effort for the benefit of injured persons throughout Ontario.
