Jeff Manishen – 2010 Recipient of the Edward J. Orzel Award!

The Partners of Ross & McBride LLP are honoured to announce that fellow Partner, Jeff Manishen, has been chosen by the Hamilton Law Association’s Board of Trustees, as the 2010 recipient of the Edward J. Orzel Award, for Excellence in Trial Advocacy!
This award is named after Edward J. Orzel and honours a member of the Hamilton Law Association for excellence in trial advocacy for a single outstanding trial effort or for a career in trial advocacy in any area of the law.
Recognized for his practice in Criminal Law by The Best Lawyers in Canada since 2006, Jeff was an Assistant Crown Attorney in Hamilton from 1977-85, Past-President of the Hamilton Criminal Lawyers' Association and Past- Chairman of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Criminal Law Specialization Sub-Committee. He has taught advocacy courses for many years and is frequently a guest lecturer at Continuing Legal Education conferences and programs throughout Hamilton as well as Ontario. Jeff has also lectured on advocacy and legal issues for the Canadian, American and International Associations of Forensic Sciences and has co-chaired the Law Society's Charter of Rights Update Program bi-annually since 1993. In addition, Jeff is a frequent legal commentator on both CHML AM 900 Radio and on CH-TV11 television.
The Hamilton Law Association will be presenting this award to Jeff at the 10th Annual Advocacy Conference to be held at the Hamilton Convention Centre on April 28th, 2010.
