Michael Ramsey is an associate in Ross & McBride’s Business Law Group, where he acts on behalf of corporations across a range of industry sectors, as well as charities and non-profit organizations.
Michael is an energetic and driven young lawyer with a knack for bringing creative solutions to his clients’ challenges. He’s an analytical thinker who places a high value on effective communication with his clients. His experience working in the American court system has also equipped him with versatility and a broadened perspective.
Michael obtained his Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, where he majored in Biology and Psychology. He attended the Canadian and American Dual JD program at the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy, obtaining both a Canadian Juris Doctor and an American Juris Doctor in 2021. While at law school, Michael completed a judicial externship at the Wayne County Third Circuit Court, and was actively involved at the University of Detroit Mercy's Environmental Law Clinic where he acted on behalf of various public interest groups and environmental organizations. He was also an avid participant in intramural sports and the Peer Mentorship Program.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys golfing, watching sports, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
